The Left Wing Tell Us Unfettered Capitalism is the Problem

What about unfettered socialism? Unfettered unions?

What the IMF demands Greece to do before they give them a bailout;

• Public sector pay/hiring freeze
• 2-3 percentage points increase in the VAT
• Average retirement age raised from 53 to 67
• 13th and 14th month salary ended for public sector workers
• Short term public sector contracts not renewed
• Close 800+ State entities
• Sell State own companies/land/properties
• Open up over 60 “closed shop professions”

The fact that Greece has gotten so bad is solely the fault of previous socialist administrations and the demands of the big labour unions.

Capitalism isn't the problem. Government intrusion into the economy and allowing unrealistic union demands into the economy is.

We're seeing the result. Greece may be our future.

Our hope that Canada and Saskatchewan are watching and learning.

When the banks got short term loans from governments all around the world to get through the recession brought on by NINJA loans(No Income, No Job or Assets) all we heard is about the failure of capitalism. And there was and still is a definite problem with people scamming the system, but the loans have almost all been paid back, the scammers are either on the run, in court or in prison and the economy is recovering. (103,000 jobs created in Canada last month alone)
But there is no fixing socialism; it fails every where it is implemented.
Even Lorne Calvert admitted that, not with words, but with actions. Removing the capital tax, lowering taxes and natural resource royalties was not only the capitalist shot in the arm Saskatchewan needed to get on the road to prosperity, it was an admission by former NDP Premier Lorne Calvert that socialism had failed the people of Saskatchewan.
Dozens, if not hundreds, of NDP party members read this blog, not one of them will be able to provide a coherent answer as to why the system in Greece failed. Not one.

No. Actually, you're wrong. Capitalism IS the problem. Big business doesn't mind socialism when they want WE, the taxpayers to bail them out. Or use their health care card. Or get their education paid for. Or...a million other things. George Carlin once said that the reason they call it the American Dream is 'cause you'd have to be asleep to believe it.

Make up your mind and stop with the double standards already.
