Right On Cue

In our previous post, we mentioned that SP/LP political columnist Murray Mandryk was lazy in his research and a mouthpiece for NDP talking points.

Thanks for proving our point so quickly. This is Mandryk's editorial from today, July 28th, 2010.

Potentially even more problematic for Wall is the recent Court of Appeal ruling that the Sask. Party won't be dropped from the new/old provincial Progressive Conservative party lawsuit seeking control over the $2.9-million PC Trust Fund.

Now take a look at this news release from the NDP caucus office from July 26th, 2010.

Today the Saskatchewan NDP called on Premier Brad Wall to take seriously his responsibility to uphold the democratic process in Saskatchewan, drop his legal stalling tactics, and admit the Saskatchewan Party's role in denying the Progressive Conservative Party of Saskatchewan access to its $3 million Trust Fund.

Mind you, he showed journalistic independence by not accepting Lingenfelter's $3 million dollar trust fund number. He used the more accurate $2.9 million figure. And he did wait an entire day before he wrote his column.

But the rest of the column could have been written by the NDP caucus staff themselves.

Mandryk once again proves he is not an objective political reporter, but merely a propagandist and apologist for the NDP.

Thanks for proving our point, Murray.

Do Your Research, Rookie!

We laughed out loud when we saw this...

"Some of the blame must fall on Wall, who has tolerated partisan mean-spiritedness from caucus members in the house, and even from caucus staff members who waste their days by using taxpayers' resources to mount political attacks through anonymous blogging."

We admit we haven't been kind to Mandryk because quite frankly we believe he's a lazy and less than insightful reporter. The above paragraph demonstrates that.

To Mandryk, rather than accepting NDP talking points as fact from (the soon to be ousted) NDP MLA Kevin Yates, or from the apparently homophobic NDP VP Kent E. Peterson, why don't you do your job and ask questions before printing?

We know people in the Sask Party caucus office. As a matter of fact, we know people from the NDP caucus as well. People send us information. Lots of different people. From all over Saskatchewan. Some are politically connected. Some are not.

For the record, the Sask Party caucus office is in no way, shape or form connected with the creation, the on-going contribution, or editorial content of this blog.

We are a group of independent right-wing citizens against the socialist policies of the NDP and their leader. By that default, we are supporters of the Saskatchewan Party and believe that they are the party best able to move us away from the socialist and union based policies of the NDP.

And to be totally truthful, we kinda like Premier Brad Wall.

By the same token, we think Dwain Lingenfelter is a four-time married political disaster and had it not been for his enormous ego, he could have had a pretty good life living in Alberta as an oil company executive. But instead he has come back, and we believe he will destroy our province if the voters ever allow him to govern.

And that is the reason for this blog!

By the making his untrue and unresearched statement above, the question begs to be asked, "What other issues is Mandryk not researching before they go to print?"

A good political reporter would have taken the time to get that fact and ask the question, not become a mouthpiece for the NDP because he is too lazy to check out the facts.

It`s"J" school 101, Murray.

Union Hypocrisy

Health care union in Saskatchewan are crying foul on a letter sent to union members from SAHO.

A letter sent by the Saskatchewan Association of Health Organizations (SAHO) to health-care union members who have been without a contract for more than two years is being called "bullying" and "intimidating" by one union.

What incredible hypocrisy. First of all, a letter being "intimidating"? Please... If any union member finds a letter from an employer the least bit threatening, there are legal courses of action they can initiate.

Secondly, during a recent union drive in Saskatchewan by COPE, union organizers not only sent letters to company employees but also called them at home and in some cases actually came to their homes. Thankfully, the union drive was unsuccessful. But to have a union organizer stand on your doorstep in essence telling the employee "we know where you live", that is intimidation.

And this is not just COPE. This is modus operandi for all unions. (See point "u")

Finally,

But employees such as Celine Hounjet, a medical laboratory technologist at Royal University Hospital, say they already voted on a similar -- arguably better -- agreement and rejected it by giving their unions strike mandates.

She said "angry doesn't start to describe" how she felt when she received the letter from SAHO.

"It's fine if they want to do this in public, it's a public war in the media or whatever, but once you start sending it to my home, you've crossed the line," she said.

We wish the journalists in this province would do their homework. Not just an average employee (Union ORC!)

Facts are union killers. The only way a union survives in a thriving economy is by keeping its members in the dark.

It doesn't surprise us that union leadership is angered by SAHO. How dare they give their employees truthful information about their own offer!

Union members need to rise up against their leadership!

Workers of the World Unite!

Against union leadership...

We've always maintained that union workers are more at risk from their union bosses than their own managers. It's union leadership that has become corrupt, using working men and women as pawns for their own political games.

Remember, when the people lead, the leaders follow.

Let union members vote on their own contract!

The Depths To Which They Sink

Dwain Lingenfelter, the NDP and their union proxies are after our children.

Consider this letter attached to the graduating students of Bishop James Mahoney High School in Saskatoon.

  1. Who allowed this letter to be included with a high school diploma?

  2. How many more schools were infected by this document?

  3. Was the government asked to do the same?
Notice how the first sentence of the letter mentions the NDP. If the leader of the opposition wants to wish graduating students well, he should as the leader of the opposition. The moment Lingenfelter mentions a party, it becomes political propaganda.

This letter is outrageous. This is not a letter of congratulations. This is an attempt to introduce high school students to the NDP  (which is probably a continuation of what their left wing union teachers were already doing).

There are NO depths to which Lingenfelter and the NDP will not sink.

UPDATE...

It seems as though the signature above may not even be Lingenfelter's. Take a look at a document that we know Lingenfelter signed.

The signature on this document bears very little resemblance to the one on the graduate letter. Politicians often use a signature stamp, but this one seems like it may have been signed by a staffer.

In other words, the probable first document from Dwain Lingenfelter to a first time voter is likely not even signed by him.

Seems to us that Dwain is probably being a bit... disingenuous. But we expect nothing less from Dwain Lingenfelter.

UPDATE...

A listener to JGL just coined a new election phrase...

"It stinks if it comes from Link"
